Lauren Pomerantz (Voice) and Robert Clancy (Lute) Live concert from Ibiza, Spain. Both were post graduate music students at the famed Early Music school in Basel, Switzerland. They developed this repertoire together with its live improvisatory vitality enhanced by being always performed memorized. They began a tour together of the Balearic Islands. Lauren, living alternatively in Spain and Switzerland, was sponsored by the Spanish Ministry of Culture to give yearly concert tours of the Spanish early music. This concert was captured live in San Miguel church in Ibiza Spain. Robert went on to play lute touring with Hesperion XX for the next 5 years. Lauren returned to the US and recorded her first of 9 albums, the Jewels of the Sephardim and gave concerts dedicated to the Golden Age of Spain where peaceful times florished from the rich collaboration of Arab, Jewish and Christian cultures. Lauren then began her Songbird Music Label. When Lauren found this recording in her archives, she checked in with Robert and they both wanted to share this magic and vitality of this special repertoire and performance.
